Thanks to Bruce and Dianne Perron of the Egg & I/Roost
Bruce will generously offer a discount on October 18 to "Make A Difference Day" volunteers!
Thanks to the Ryder Funeral Home
Will Ryder has kindly offered to loan his large tent-like covering on Oct. 18. It will be in the "Command Center" in the parking lot across from 26 Main St. If it is a warm autumn day, it will give the volunteers some shade!
Thanks, Will!
Thanks, Will!

Jeff:
We would of course love to have the Village Commons as a sponsor! The flyer is just a draft, and I would enjoy greatly adding The Village Commons to that list, which I hope and expect will grow.

Hi Bob,
...I love the photograph. Which corner of Bridge & Main was that? As a resident and business member of the community I hope to participate. How do you become a sponsor? Is it to late for The Village Commons to become one? Linda and I had a great meeting with...
Look forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Jeff

Ed,
Let me know how you do w/ Home Depot or Bargain Outlet;as you know, corporate sponsors are tough to land. Knowing the cost of materials first will give us a greater sense of feasibilty. If a wood supplier is found perhaps Rocky's could be approached to supply the nuts & bolts? I will assist you as needed. - Kate

That is a great idea. I will contact Home Depot or Bargain Outlet and see if they would be willing to do something as a community sponsor in the way of materials.

It was terrific to see aesthetic improvements in progress on the Hass property(even though not owner directed); we can only hope it inspires others along Main St. to follow suit! With all our discussion on what able-bodied volunteers can contribute to the event, we should be mindful of those who can only contribute in a non physically demanding manner. Who will be overseeing the refreshment, parking, and info area? Perhaps committee members should not only be visible but mobile to ensure the event runs smoothly?
In regard to Ed's idea of installing a simple fence along the backside of the parking lot across from The Egg & I, perhaps a business(s) would step forward as a materials sponsor. I'm sure we could find volunteers willing to install it. Of course, the cost of materials will not come cheap.
