A different "Make A Difference" opportunity

2nd Annual Make a Difference Day Book Drive for Children’s Literacy

Greetings from Megan Barber and Amanda Doster,

I am writing to invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual Make a Difference Day Book Drive for Children’s Literacy, organized by the ACT Community Service Center and RSVP of Hampshire & Franklin Counties. Last year we collected and distributed over 7,000 new and gently used children’s books to local agencies, who then shared the books with the children they serve.

Please let us know ASAP if your organization is interested in receiving books. The book drive takes place on Make a Difference Day, Saturday, October 25. You would need to be able to pick up your books in Northampton, Amherst or Greenfield on Monday, October 27, between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 PM.

If you would like to receive books, please give us the following information:
· Organization name:
· Address:
· Contact person name:
· Contact person phone number:
· Contact person e-mail:
· # of books desired (books are packaged in bundles of 25)

· age 0-3:
· age 3-6:
· age 7-9:
· age 10-12:

Please email Make a Difference Day planning committee member Lisa Bertoldi at bertoldi@crocker.com with your request.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We look forward to working with you to engage the community in promoting children’s literacy!

Sincerely,
